1. Hide Blue Ticks!

Are you one of those users who keep worrying about the dreaded blue double tick? It is indeed possible to now hide the blue tick marks so that others won’t know you have read their messages. But, the catch is that you will not be able to see if others have read your messages too. If you still want to give this a try, here’s how to do it. Go to Settings -> Account -> Privacy. Uncheck ‘Read Receipts’. Done!

2. Formatting Messages

Who doesn’t love customised text? If you are one among those who can’t do without it, WhatsApp has a really cool feature that allows you to send bold, italicised text and even strikethrough effect!

For bold: add an asterisk {*} before and after your desired words : e.g. *Kevera*

For italics: add an underscore {_} before and after your desired words : e.g. _Kevera_

For strikethrough: add a tilde {~} before and after your desired words : e.g. ~Kevera~

Also, feel free to mix and match to try various combinations of bold and italics, italics and strikethrough etc.

3. Reply to Messages Without Updating Last Seen!

You can now conveniently reply for your messages directly from the home screen, thanks to the pop up feature in WhatsApp!
